Insights
After the first start of Ipilion you will see the Ipilion Explorer with the following work environment.
Workspace
Here are all your projects. Projects can be opened or closed.
Project (research project).
Projects combine your patents, searches and other files combined in folders.
Folder
Directories can be created and modified. All elements that can be moved, copied and deleted.
Patent (*. pat)
Patents contain the patent information for a patent publication. You can put other patents as child elements into one (eg by drag / drop). These can be family members or cited publications. Its your choice.
Patent Search (*. pas)
A patent search contains a search pattern, options, informations, and the found patents.
Patent package (*. pak)
Patent packages can be used to combine patents into a single file.
Other files
You can include other files too. You can copy them, delete, rename, ... Some may be editable directly within Ipilion (in place).
Editors
Ipilion editors are used to create pattern, to the view patent data and to edit text and other data. An unlimited number of editors can be opened at once.Views
Views provide unlike editors only a view to certain information. So, for example the Ipilion Exploter is a view. Views can positioned the the way want. By double-clicking on the tab (also applies to editors) you can maximize the view. The following views are with Ipilion Core:- Patent List: Sortable list of your patents
- Ipilion Explorer: A hierarchical view of all elements.
- Task View: Manage your tasks.
- Bookmarks: To help you find your articles.
- IPC View: Displays the definition of IPC classes.
- Log View: logs system information, such as whether a search was successful.
- Problems View: Displays problems found by the System, e.g. Errors in your search pattern.
- Progress View: The search operation and the loading of data is done in the background. The Progress view shows the status of these operations.
